I absolutely love Leo’s. The bar is so much fun to sit at and have a drink and the food is also fantastic. Personally I don’t eat oysters but their non oyster menu is popping. They can make any cocktail regardless of if it’s on the menu. Can’t wait to return.
Found this hole in the wall while walking around the city. The oysters were super fresh and I loved that they had small British Columbia ones. Drinks were fun and tasty as well. Great experience. Thank you!
We love this place. The classy and chic venue is totally decorated for Christmas with a very festive ambience. The staff is super friendly, helpful and attentive. And finally, the food is just delicious. It does comes with a high price tag, and yet, it's can still get very crowded. So if you don't have a reservation, you should be there very early (like within 30) of them opening. Otherwise, you might not get a table (even the bar areas can get crowded). The crowd creates a great vibe here and it just feels great to dine here.
So very nice interior !
For vegan and vegetarian friends is also something available BUT restaurant focus is on fish and meat.
Service is great
Cocktails size could be bigger but be careful 😁
Came here last time 4 years ago when I lived here and I'm glad I'm back! The staff are so friendly but they know the boundary. I went alone so they were kind enough to keep me company but left me alone when they saw I was deep in my throat haha. Oysters are fresh. Best part is I left my purse in the bathroom and it wasn't stolen! Faith in humanity restored! I would come back again and I'm so happy they survived the pandemic.
Fantastic food and service. I had a lobster roll that was so good, I almost ordered a second. The fries were terrific and was complimented with a really good sauce.
Old fashioned was made perfectly, they had many other cocktails but that is my go to.
The atmosphere and decorations made it a great place to grab drinks and some bites to eat
Take me back! The selection of oysters and seafood was on point! I mean it has to be with the word Oyster in their name. The decor here reminded me as if we were in South Beach, Miami very floral with pink hues. The menu had tons of great options to choose from so I went for the East and West coast oysters and the oyster with caviar on top. All of it was to die for and yes I ordered a few oysters multiple times. I love oysters and these were some of the best I've ever had. The service was a bit iffy but I feel it's like that everywhere now so whatever but the food and atmosphere make it well worth the visit. One last note the french fries were also AMAZING!
This iconic oyster bar is an experience you will not soon forget. The dining room and bar are adorned with vintage lamps, crystal and water jugs, and wrapped in big bold wallpaper - Leo's is intimate and full of class. We ordered some Sauvignon Blanc to start, and then all the food we could possibly eat. 4 varieties of oysters lead the menu, 2 of which we tried. We both agreed: the hamachi crudo might be the best single dish we can remember eating this year. A salad with strawberries, goat cheese, radishes and pistachios was delightful. Two oysters served with caviar exploded with the flavor of the sea. Leo's should be on your list when you visit San Francisco.
